Return to Past Missions
ISS Assembly mission ISS-13A.1, also known as STS-118, successfully lifted off on August 8, 2007 from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. On Endeavorís first flight since STS-113 in November 2002, the refurbished space shuttle is delivering the starboard S5 truss segment to the International Space Station as well as SPACEHAB's External Stowage Platform-3. SPACEHAB's Logistics Single Module is also a critical payload on the STS-118 mission as it is loaded with equipment and supplies for the station crews. This flight is the first for Barbara Morgan, a former teacher from Idaho, who was friends with Christa McAulliffe who died in the Challenger accident.
